It also has a very thorough section on the Council of Nicea in the fourth century, which transformed Christianity forever. Finally, it covers the Protestant Reformation, which led to freedom both in Christianity and in society.

Whether atheists like it or not, Jesus Christ is still transforming lives and working miracles 2,000 years after his death, which is the most stunning and powerful evidence there is today of his resurrection. Can the two go hand in hand?

I was diagnosed with leukemia in June of 2011. My leukemia is acute. Without treatment, I would probably have been dead in July, certainly in August (barring miraculous healing by God). This blog chronicles my glorious adventure with chemotherapy, radiation, and bone marrow transplantation. As I write this, on December 16, 2011, I have radiation, more chemotherapy, and the transplant in front of me in January, 2012.
I believe that all things, even leukemia, work together for good for those who love God and are the called according to his purpose. It is my hope and prayer that my joyful and thrilling journey will encourage others to believe.
How many people get to fight a battle with a disease that kills 75% of the people who get it? Maybe it's not what you want, but when you're in God's hands and when people are inspired and blessed, it's a wonderful adventure.
Note: As of Aug. 2014 I am 2 1/2 years past transplant and doing quite well!
